We noted previously “Mark … saw the story begin with the preaching of John the Baptist. Matthew pushes the start of the story to Abraham, and Luke to Adam.” and John pushed it to Genesis 1:1.

They had full confidence in the OT scriptures. They did not defend that it was the word of God, they simply presumed it. Many evidences can be found by googling. However, it can be suggested that the hidden layer, called the “mystery hidden from the beginning”, is actual proof that it is the word of God being the very fingerprint of God upon his word.

Like a watermark, if the literal words of the scripture had been messed up, the hidden layer underneath would also get messed up. This is a testimony of the preservation of the word.

The hidden layer is impossible for men to have imposed upon it after the fact. If you have not yet grasped this point, return to “Eliminating free-for-all allegory” and contemplate the effect that every time a donkey is mentioned, it MUST be a prophet in the hidden layer. Men do not get to choose when to apply it and not. It must be the same everywhere.

The reason that the authors do not make the case for the word of God directly is because they have full confidence that God’s sheep hear his voice. Those who are willfully disobedient to God can tell the difference between footprints in the sand and swirls made by water, but they deny the design in creation itself.

They are deceived by the flesh, just as you once were. By having full confidence in God’s living word, we need not wrestle with their flesh.

This argument is made about God. Many will say that Genesis does not seek to prove that God exists, but merely presumes that he does. This should not come as a surprise since he tells us that all men already know that God is:

 Ro 1:19 ¶ Because that which may be known of God is manifest in them; for God hath shewed [it] unto them.

 

The Gospels were written in the order of Mark, Matthew, Luke, and John. Each author had about 10 years more than the preceding author to study the scriptures and understand the hidden mystery.

Mark, recording the teaching of Peter, saw the story begin with the preaching of John the Baptist. Matthew pushes the start of the story to Abraham, and Luke to Adam. John, having the most time to study understands the mystery best and he pushes the beginning of the story to Genesis 1:1, with “In the beginning was the Word…”

The first three words of Genesis are “barashit bara Elohim” (this is poorly Anglecized.) The word “bara” is translated “created” but it is “bar” meaning “son” and “a” which is the aleph having the meaning “spoke and created the heavens and the earth”.

When God created, he spoke it into existence. It may be said that “bara” is “created by the word” or the “word which created”. Already we can see that the Son is the Word.

Observe that “bara” is in “barashit”. “Barashit” means “in the beginning”. The Word was in barashit. The word was in the beginning.

Bara is next to Elohim… “barashit bara Elohim” so the Word was with Elohim… the Word was with God.

Bara is the Son  who created. He is the creator. The Word was God.

Joh 1:1 ¶ In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

John got his theology from the hidden layer of the scripture, not from a Greek philosopher.

He continues his riddling with the word “Elohim”.  It has three puns; words that sound similar One for “not dark” or the Light, one for Life, and one for Bread.

Joh 1:4 In him was life; and the life was the light of men.
Joh 6:32  Then Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Moses gave you not that bread from heaven; but my Father giveth you the true bread from heaven.
Joh 6:33  For the bread of God is he which cometh down from heaven, and giveth life unto the world.

The prophets of old packed away the mystery. Modern prophets unpack it by the Spirit to solve riddles. They validate what the Spirit tells them by these rules.

Divine meaning
A metaphor/shadow means the same thing everywhere is it used. This makes it self-correcting. Every donkey is a prophet, and every garment a work.

Christocentric
All the scriptures speak of him. This eliminates wild interpretations.

Self-contained
Historians and physicists are not apostles. Answer for the riddles come from scripture.

Self-examination
Jer 17:9 The heart [is] deceitful above all [things], and desperately wicked: who can know it? Eliminate preconceived notions.

Humility
Since not one jot nor tittle will pass away, a complete understanding cannot be claimed until every jot and tittle is understood.

Complete
Man shall live by every word… therefore a doctrine is not sound until it sums up and includes all the scriptures have to say about it… including the hidden layer.

Rigorous
Since every word concerning life and death must be established by two or three witnesses, every shadow must have at least two supporting scripture witnesses.

These rules are derived from scripture. Can you discern how?

Luke wrote Acts 12 in such a way as to hide a secret picture of Christ within. He used the historical facts as prophetic riddle pointing back to the cross. He did this to teach us how to read the Old Testament.

Genesis 38 has been called the worst chapter of the Bible, but it contains a beautiful picture of the birth of Christ.

Tamar met Judah before Timnath (the appointment) (Ge 38:14)
Mary met God before the appointed time of Christ. (Heb 9:27)

Tamar was offered a goat by Judah. (Ge 38:17)
the angel told her “He will save his people from their sins.” (Mt 1:21) These words are used of the scapegoat.

Tamar wanted an assurance that she would receive the goat, (Ge 38:17)
Mary asked for an assuring word of explanation. (Lk 1:34)

Tamar was given the staff or rod which represents the power of God in discipline. (Pr 22:15, Pr 23:13, Pr 29:15)
Mary was told the power of the Highest would overshadow her. (Lk 1:35)

Tamar was given the signet ring. (Ge 38:18) A signet ring declares the wearer to be a son.
Mary was told that he would be called the Son of God. (Lk 1:35)

Tamar was given bracelets. (Ge 38:18) Bracelets cover an empty vessel to keep it clean.
Mary was told that she was not unclean because although she was with child, it was by the Holy Ghost. (Lk 1:35)

Tamar bore twins (Ge 38:27)
Mary bore the dual-natured God-Man. (Joh 8:58)

The names of the twins mean ‘breaking forth’ and ‘rising sun’
Jesus was called Dayspring.(Lu 1:78)

The second son was born first (Ge 38:28-29)
Jesus is the second Adam (1Co 15:45-47)

And he knew her again no more (Gen 38:26)
Jesus was the only begotten son. (Joh 1:18)

In Acts 12, Luke demonstrates his knowledge of the Hebrew concept of the secret layer of scripture called ‘sod’ (pronounced with a long ‘o’). The reason he wrote it is to make a demonstration to the Greeks HOW the Hebrews see Christ in the Old Testament scriptures. The Gospels reveal the sod of the Old Testament, and Luke writes a sod from the gospels. The sod always speaks of Christ. Even the Rabbis say that the Messiah is, or reveals, the sod.

Here is a brief overview of the secret concerning Jesus:

Herod vexed Christ
Herod vexed the body of Christ (the church)

Jesus was arrested the week before Passover
Peter was arrested the week before Passover

Jesus was set between two (thieves)
Peter was set between two (guards)

A light shown in the tomb
A light shown in the cell

Jesus was poked in the side
Peter was poked in the side

Three barriers to escape (two days in death and the stone which was opened on the third day)
Three barriers to escape (two sets of guards and a gate)

The stone opened itself
The gate open itself

The first person Jesus saw was Mary
Peter went to Mary’s house

The woman who met Jesus (Mary) ran to tell the disciples
The woman who met Peter (Rhoda) ran to tell the disciples

She was told she was crazy
She was told she was mad

When Jesus finished visiting his disciples he went to another place
When Peter finished visiting the disciples he went to another place

There is also a riddle: At the beginning of Chapter 12 we are told that James was killed by Herod.  At the end, Peter says to go tell James.  Those who died before the cross, rose with Christ.

The New Testament authors teach us HOW to read the OT. This hermeneutic has rules discerned from scripture using the hermeneutic.  We will be reproducing the exegesis of the NT authors. We will be showing how they got their teaching from the OT.

One of the rules is that when something becomes a metaphor, it is always the same. This keeps it from free-for-all allegory and actually makes it self-correcting.

Another is that since Jesus said that all the scriptures speak of him, guess what…. ALL THE SCRIPTURES SPEAK OF HIM.  Many preachers contradict Jesus. Many who have attempted to reveal the mystery of the Bible have spoken of everything BUT Jesus.  If you don’t see Jesus in the scripture, you don’t yet understand the scripture.

The Greek hermeneutic has recreated Mars hill within the church. Everyone was willing to accept Paul until he said that his God was the only God. In the church we are willing to accept ANY interpretation as being equally valid as long as it does not step on our toes. But God’s word is sure and fixed. He did not leave it to the frailties of human understanding. He wrote it in such a way that we can know.
