2Ti 2:2 And the things that thou hast heard of me among many witnesses, the same commit thou to faithful men, who shall be able to teach others also.

Scholars would have us believe that Jesus and the apostles either read the Old Testament wrong, placing meaning upon scripture that was not intended by the original authors, or that they had a magic gift of interpretation that is not available to us today. If this is the case, then they did not follow the admonition given to Timothy.

I will attempt to teach, and give examples of the methods of interpretation used by Jesus, the Apostles, and the Bereans as passed on to us in the New Testament.

Please provide feedback to improve the examples, and test them as you have opportunity, by sharing them with others.

If you are able, please read these posts on your smart phones. It is intended that posts be accessible through phones, and topics kept short to help in personal Bible study. Please feel free to give feedback and ask questions.

Though many have heard the topics of the beginning posts before, they are here to provide subscribers with an introduction to the topic. ...and invite your friends if you dare ;)

I'm an evangelist/pastor not an author. But I am trying to write on the fundamental problem behind some issues in the church, which is the Greek hermeneutic. The first church was Jewish, the Gentiles came along and, like Israel at the fiery mountain said "We don't want the whole story, give us Judaism light". As a result, by 400 AD they had removed anything appearing to be Jewish from the church and adopted Augustine's Greek philosophy and hermeneutic in reading the OT. The Hebrew hermeneutic is taught by the NT authors. There is a debate today as to where Paul got his theology. They say John got the 'Logos' from Greeks. They admit, in discussions concerning the OT use by NT authors, that they cannot reproduce NT author exegesis. These are all problems generated by using the wrong hermeneutic. It also causes bad theology and discrepancies. I need an experimental audience willing to give feedback and ask hard questions in order to document this properly.
