		+	The primary meaning is that the word was heard but not understood. The metaphor has both a positive and a negative aspect. On the negative side the spiritually blind. On the positive side, it represents those who are drawn to the word, like sheep hearing a voice, but not understanding the words spoken.

		+	The hei is in the middle of the name for God, Elohim. It separates God (el) from his creation reprented by the yod and final mem. His creation is separated from him because they don't understand him.
