WLC - Question 18 What are God's works of providence?

WLC - Answer 18 God's works of providence are his most holy, wise, and powerful preserving and governing all his creatures; ordering them, and all their actions, to his own glory.

WLC - Answer 18 (Bob) God's work of providence is like the stream nudging the fish according to it's will; in the case of God, to make himself known. God does this to men to ensure that all "will know him". God's glory, honor and reputation is revealed when his people discover his mystery. [1]
  1. Pr 25:2 [It is] the glory of God to conceal a thing: but the honour of kings [is] to search out a matter.
