Luke wrote Acts 12 in such a way as to hide a secret picture of Christ within. He used the historical facts as prophetic riddle point back to the cross. The purpose of this is to teach us how to read the Old Testament where historical fact is used as prophetic riddle. Here we examine Genesis 38. It has been called the worst chapter of the Bible by some, but it contains a beautiful picture of the birth of Christ.
