Skeptics love to point out that bats are not fowl. But the scripture does not say they are. It says they are 'flying things'. It is an error to make rash judgements concerning the integrity of the Word of God based on English translations. Before you say God can't be trusted, be sure you are reading what he actually said. Many a skeptic will stand before God with an accusation, like Roseanne Roseannadanna <ref>Saturday Night Live Character played by Gilda Radner</ref>, completely ignorant of the issue, who can only respond "Nevermind" when confronted with her misunderstanding of a simple word.

How is it that Israel, who has seen many miracles from God, continually were chasing after false gods? They forgat the Lord. <ref>Jud 3:7 And the children of Israel did evil in the sight of the LORD, and forgat the LORD their God, and served Baalim and the groves.</ref> <ref>Ps 78:11 And forgat his works, and his wonders that he had shewed them.</ref> <ref>Ps 106:21 They forgat God their saviour, which had done great things in Egypt;</ref>. The eagle represents those who forget God.
