1. "Man has the capacity to serve God." This leaves much to the imagination. We are told that all of our righteousness is liek filthy rags. <ref>[[Isa 64:6]] ΒΆ But we are all as an unclean [thing], and all our righteousnesses [are] as filthy rags; and we all do fade as a leaf; and our iniquities, like the wind, have taken us away.</ref> This is because, as we will see later, we usurp God's position as the one who defines good and evil when we determine what our good works should look like. We can only please him if we do his works.
2. "Man is responsible to obey the Word of the Lord." It is almost irresponsible to say this knowing that no one does. We are to marvel at his faithfulness, even when we are not. <ref>[[2Ti 2:13]] If we believe not, [yet] he abideth faithful: he cannot deny himself.</ref>As with the rich man who was compared to a camel, the challenge of the Word is to our flesh "If you are like God, then do what God has done." ... and we fall short. 3. "The institution of marriage is established". Marriage is a symbol of Christ and the church whether performed in a marriage or in an adulterous relationship with a prostitute; Christ and the church become one flesh. Christians may choose to elaborate on the symbols of Christ, the church and the cross in the way they conduct their marriages. 4. "...man's nature as God's image". This is a common error made by those who do not read Hebrew as a Hebrew, and by those who would teach that we are equal to God. In Gen 1 God says he will make man in his image and likeness, but only makes man in his image. He does not complete the 'likeness' until ch 5. As it speaks of Christ and the church; Christ is the express image of God <ref>[[Heb 1:3]] Who being the brightness of [his] glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high;</ref>, and his bride is made to be 'like' him. <ref>[1Jo 3:2]] Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is.</ref> 5. "special care and provision for mankind..." though this is true it misses the bigger point that "all of this" is intended to reveal the invisible God to man. This thought starts the path to a man-centered gospel. 6. I am not sure how this was derived from the text.
