WLC - Question 5 What do the Scriptures principally teach?
WLC - Answer 5 The Scriptures principally teach,: What man is to believe concerning God, and: What duty God requires of man.
WLC - Answer 5 (Bob) The principal teaching of scripture is that God alone is God. This is done through four voices which permeate all of scripture:
- Prophet - of Christ and the cross
- Judge - confronting sin
- Priest - of the Word reconciling the world to himself
- King - disciplining the flesh
