Chapter 1.1.14 Dalet ד

Primary metaphor

The dalet represents the spoken word, the teaching, or the command of God.

The first dalet

Ge 1:4 And God saw the light, that [it was] good: and God divided the light from the darkness.

The word for 'divide' is badal בדל. By the letters it means 'in ב the word ד taught ל'. It can also be divided as 'in ב the weak one דל'.
