Vav

The doctrine from the stroke or letter vav ו is that God spoke and clarified or explained things by separating two side of the same thing. If the yod י is the void that God created within himself to have a place for the universe, then the vav וis the first words spoken into the void "Let there be light". [1]

Light is a symbol of God's holiness. It is an expression of being separate... being different.

The vav ו looks like a sword, and it represents the word as the two-edged sword.Heb 4:12 For the word of God [is] quick, and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and [is] a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.</ref> <ref>

  1. Ge 1:3 ¶ And God said, Let there be light: and there was light.
