Jesus had opened the eyes of his disciples, their hearts burned. [1] They exclaimed, "Did not our heart burn within us, while he talked with us by the way, and while he opened to us the scriptures?" [2]
- The 'burning bosom' is not the testimony of the Holy Spirit, but a fulfilled prophecy. God would write the law on the hearts of his people. [3]
