Peace through the cross
This is the purpose of the temple in Jerusalem. The sacrifices were a symbols of how peace with God was made possible through the death of the Son of God. [1]
- But the death of Christ was no more notible than the death of any animal, or of any person unjustly condemned. It is his resurrection that sets him apart. It is not the death that gives life, but his resurrected life which gives it. Planting a seed does not give fruit. It is the springing to life from the dead seed which produces.
