Reply firmament

Thank you for your analysis of Genesis regarding the firmament. Trying to understand the meaning of the word "firmament" better. I looked up Strongs using the blueletterbible.org tool and it said the following:

extended surface (solid), expanse, firmament expanse (flat as base, support) firmament (of vault of heaven supporting waters above) considered by Hebrews as solid and supporting 'waters' above

Trying to understand better the part about "emptying" in your analysis. I believe strongly in the NT quotations regarding the kenosis and I just want to see how the link is made back to Genesis and the incarnation. Very interesting, thanks for your patience in this matter!
