Thank you for your exegetical analysis of the word/phrases in the Genesis account of creation.
I thought it was interesting when you discussed the reason for the plural use of the word God. Some have said that there is no specific reference or evidence of the Trinity in the Bible but I beg to differ. I was always taught that the first evidence was in verse
- Ge 1:26 "And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness..." because of the use of the pronoun "us". And I believed that for years until I read in verse 1:1 which uses the plural masculine noun form for God the Hebrew transliteration [אֱלֹהִים ]] 'elohiym - "In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth." Also, the transliteration of the word "created" is בָּרָא bara' is in perfect verb tense meaning it is a "completed" action. To me that is saying that God completed everything in the beginning as stated in the first verse.
