The first is 'cunning' or 'subtil'. 'aw-room'
The second is naked. 'ay-rome'
In Ge 3:1 the serpent was cunning. In Ge 3:10 they were naked or 'like' the serpent'.
God asked them who told them they were naked. They knew they had become like the serpent by challenging the word of God. Nakedness becomes a symbol of the sin nature where we instinctively live like animals. We decide what is good and evil for ourselves and essentially make ourselves to be gods.
