Primary metaphor
The dalet represents the spoken word, the teaching, or the command of God.
The first dalet
- Ge 1:4 And God saw the light, that [it was] good: and God divided the light from the darkness.
The word for 'divide' is badal בדל. By the letters it means 'the revelation to man ב the word ד taught ל'. It can also be divided as 'in ב the lowly one דל'.
Christ is the weak one who is the Word who taught. This first occurrence tells us the content of the word from heaven which was taught by the lowly one. Jesus is called the morning star[1]. He is the one who teaches the difference between the light and the dark. [2]
badal בדל and gadowl גדל
The dalet is in the center of both of these words; 'badal' and 'gadowl'. Removing it leaves 'bal' and 'gal', meaning 'heart' and 'spring'. The heart of God is his word, and the overflowing spring, with water always a metaphor for his word [3], has the word at the center.
The second dalet in 'one' echad אחד
:Ge 1:5 And God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night. And the evening and the morning were the first day [day one].
The translation of 'echad' into 'first day' is not precise. It should be "he called it one day"
