The nun appears to be two vavs overlaid. One vav is the word of God from heaven to earth and the other from earth to heaven. The rabbis say that it represents the Messiah. The focal point of the hieroglyph is the vertical bar emphasizing the Word. Christ is the Word of God who reconciled earth to heaven and heaven to earth.
- Mal 4:6 And he shall turn the heart of the fathers to the children, and the heart of the children to their fathers, lest I come and smite the earth with a curse.
The horizontal bars are not extended. Though we normally say that Jesus was fully God and fully man, the nun suggests that he was also partly God and partly man. This is not a contradiction, but a focus on a different aspect of Christ. We may say that he was partly God because though he was fully God, he limited himself to the dimensions strengths and abilities of a man. And though he was fully man, he limited himself from being made a king in the flesh, taking a wife, having children, or pursuing the good things of the earth. He did not benefit from heaven or earth.
- Joh 1:51 And he saith unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Hereafter ye shall see heaven open, and the angels of God ascending and descending upon the Son of man. ()
The nun has trimmed horizontals. The son of man is partially God and partially man. I know there are people starting the fires to burn a heretic. But hear it out. Both the Kof and the Nun are true. Jesus is fully God and fully man, but he closed his eyes to divinity AND humanity. When we close our eyes, we do not become blind, we simply choose not to see.
When the Son of God closed his eyes to divinity, he chose not to use omniscience, omnipresence, etc. When he closed his eyes to his humanity, he chose to put us first, choosing the cross over his own family, career and life.
Looking at the nun closely it appears to be two vavs ו overlaid, one descending and one ascending. The vav is the first word spoken into the void. It is distinguishes and joins. it is translated 'and' when used as a prefix. It is the first messenger from God to his creation. It distinguishes him as God. It is the word which is sharper than a two edged sword.
Here Jesus says to Nathaniel, You will see the vavs ascending and descending on the nun. But the other way around of course.
