Saying 29

(29) Jesus said, "If the flesh came into being because of spirit, it is a wonder. But if spirit came into being because of the body, it is a wonder of wonders. Indeed, I am amazed at how this great wealth has made its home in this poverty."

This riddle speaks of Jesus's 'coming of age' when he recognizes that he is God in the flesh.

His body came into existence because of the Spirit of God overshadowing Mary. Wrestling with his flesh he recognized that he was first and foremost Spirit as he always did what the Father asked. It was a a great wonder how God could dwell in Christ.
