The rabbis ask the question "Why does the Torah [1] begin with the second letter of the alphabet rather than with the first?" [2]
The Greeks (and probably you) think that this is a stupid question, but only because you do not understand how to read the mystery which was hidden from the beginning <ref>Hidden mystery.
