Introduction
A recent headline declared that in fulfillment of prophecy, the Pope had dropped his title as a representative of Christ and was using his own name.
Prophecy does not occur in singularities, a single verse with no corroborating evidence. How would it ever be validated as more than coincidence if it did? When scientists look for signs of intelligent life in space, they look for patterns in signals which are not 'normal' patterns. They are outside of the standard deviation.
