''This site does not use cookies, nor collect personal information of any kind.''{{:'''Use book marks and your 'back' button to aid in navigation.''' =Site introduction=This is a brain dump of personal studies. Some pages are not completely flushed out, some are collections of scriptures to correlate. I am slowly bringing it together for public consumption through the Recommended Readings. Nearly all Scripture citations are linked whether there is content on the other end or not. Follow the link, then use "What links here" to discover all the pages which cite that scripture. =What's this about?=It is about answering scholars, theologians, skeptics, the mystery, contradictions, pastors, and Christians by reading the Old Testament the way New Testament authors and Jesus did.  Scholars and theologians invent all kinds of trouble for the Bible, almost as if they don't want you to believe it. One almost universal assignment for Bible and/or Seminary students is the "Synoptic Question" where the student must wrestle with difference between the Gospels and how can they be trusted when, "if inspired by God, they can't get their stories straight." There are many proposed solutions, none of which are satisfactory, including one theory of a 'Q' document which is a proposed lost gospel, implying that God could not protect every jot and tittle.  Through the ages there has been a belief that Jesus taught a mystery gospel. They suggest that many of the ancient extra-biblcal texts include this hidden knowledge. The Gospel of Thomas is one such document that is interpreted esoterically to produce a modern Gnosticism. Other have identified patterns in words and numbers, but have not presented plausible methods of interpretations of these. Skeptics have noticed many apparent contradictions. Most are just the noise of scoffers, but many present difficulties to Biblical scholars who often present unsatisfactory answers.  Pastors who say they are expository preachers, often simply tell you what everyone else has said about a verse, including free-for-all allegory to interpret parables, and leave it to the hearer to decide what to believe.  And frankly, even well-intentioned Christians read over poetic and eschatological texts not really understanding them, but are content with a good feeling that they have read them. Often there are things in the text which should cause the Christian to wonder and dig deeper, but few search for answers. When was the last time you heard a lesson on Emmanuel being a completely different name than Yeshua? How does Yeshua fulfill the prophecy he would be named Emmanuel? Most are content to simply believe it, rather than to search for why it is true.  This site is dedicated to the method of interpreting the scripture which we call sensus plenior. The term has been used by others to speak of the meaning of the text that God intended, but of which the human author was unaware. Jesus said that all the scriptures speak of him, yet most can only see him pop his head up from time to time. Sensus plenior answers all of the above and more. =Recommended reading=If you are following progress on one of the works below, and would like me to focus on it, drop me a note and I will attempt to do so.Nav}}{{:[[Parallel Gospels]] <-- working on this nowtable}}:[[May your heart burn...]] <-- working on this now!
