✞ | Lu 13:6 ¶ He spake also this parable; A certain [1] [man] had a fig tree [2] planted [3] in his vineyard [4] ; and he came and sought fruit [5] thereon, and found none [6] .
¢ Christ caused Christ to die among his people. He was judged to be desolate in death. |
|
Lu 13:7 Then said he unto the dresser of his vineyard, Behold, these three years I come seeking fruit on this fig tree, and find none: cut it down; why cumbereth it the ground?
¢ For three days he was desolate. |
||
Lu 13:8 And he answering said unto him, Lord, let it alone this year also, till I shall dig about it, and dung [1] [it]:
¢ This third day will distinguish it. |
||
Lu 13:9 And if it bear fruit, [well]: and if not, [then] after that thou shalt cut it down.
¢ If he does not bear fruit, the cross was in vain. |
