The mem is drawn with a kaf כ representing the Son of God, and a zayin ז representing the bride, connected at the top (in heaven). The Father chose the bride for the Son.

2Th 2:13 ¶ But we are bound to give thanks alway to God for you, brethren beloved of the Lord, because God hath from the beginning chosen you to salvation through sanctification of the Spirit and belief of the truth:

Recall that Abraham chose Rebekah as a bride for Isaac.[1]

When the mem is at the end of a word, a different form is used. The final mem ם is also connected at the bottom, signifying that the promise of the Father has been completed on earth. The Son is the one who completed the work of the Father. The final mem represents the Son. The two mems are just two forms of the same letter. The Father and the Son are two forms of the same God.

Joh 10:30 I and [my] Father are one.
Joh 14:7 If ye had known me, ye should have known my Father also: and from henceforth ye know him, and have seen him.
Joh 14:9 Jesus saith unto him, Have I been so long time with you, and yet hast thou not known me, Philip? he that hath seen me hath seen the Father; and how sayest thou [then], Shew us the Father?

When the mem is used as a prefix it is translated 'from'. All good things come from the Father.

Jas 1:17 Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning.

John is familiar with the meaning of the two mems and reminds his readers that there are three in heaven shamyim שמים who testify. The father mem מ , the Son final mem ם and the Spirit shin ש . He also demonstrates his knowledge of the meaning of the letters in earth artz ארץ.

The waters of Ge 1:2 mayim מים have the creation, represented by the yod י, surrounded by the Father מ and the Son ם. The Father is Spirit [2] and the Son is Truth [3].

To move a mountain to the waters... you worship in Spirit and in Truth.
