The pe פ is drawn as a kaf כ with a yod י hanging from it. The Son of God כ would do a new thing י:

The pe פ represents allegory [1], parables and dark sayings [riddles] [2] [3],types [4] , shadows [5], as well as the mystery [6] itself.
