The pe פ is drawn as a kaf כ with a yod י hanging from it. The Son of God כ would do a new thing י:

Isa 43:19 Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth; shall ye not know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, [and] rivers in the desert.

The pe פrepresents parables and dark sayings [riddles] [1], shadows [2], as well as the mystery [3] itself.

The visible yod י hanging from the kaf כ produces an invisible yod in the body of the pe פ. The parables, riddles, shadows and mystery speak of invisible things using visible things. They speak of the heavenly things using earthly things.

The name of the letter pe means eye and answer. Seeing is a metaphor for understanding. The literal historical record is only part of what is being said in scripture. True understanding comes from the wisdom of God expressed in parables, riddles, shadows and the mystery which all speak of Christ.
