Preface

Pardes legend associated with the Hebrew method of interpretation

Originating in the first century, the Jewish method of Biblical interpretation called Pardes, is accompanied by a legend which appears to be a warning by the ruling Jews against acknowledging that Jesus is the living Word, or living Torah of God.

It tells of four rabbis who were warned before going into the garden (pardes or paradise) that when they saw the white stone, not to say "Water - water". Three of the rabbis did not heed the warning and harm came to them. Only one returned in peace.

If the method of Pardes reveals Christ in the scriptures when you violate the warning, then why aren't we using Pardes and saying "Water, water" when we see the white stone? And just what does that mean?

White' : The holiness of God.

Stone: The Hebrew word for 'stone' is eben ( אבן ). The first two letters spell 'ab' which is father. The second and third letters are 'ben' which means 'son'. The Father and Son are inseparable.

White stone : The holy God as Father and Son, inseparable, of one nature. But when the stone was split, it is a picture of he cross when the Father forsook the Son.
