Preface

Pardes legend associated with the Hebrew method of interpretation

Originating in the first century, the Jewish Legend of Pardes appears to be a warning by the ruling Jews against acknowledging that Jesus is the living Word, or living Torah of God.

It tells of four rabbis who were warned before going into the garden (or paradise) that when they saw the white stone, not to say "Water - water".
