א - one, ox ↬ Christ

∞ The first letter of the alphabet is called "Aleph". It is said to be a silent letter, since it is a vowel producing only breath. Like his name 'Yahweh', his hidden name in the silent aleph 'ee-oo-ee' tells us that God is Spirit. ^[1]

א - one and 1000

The alef א is the first letter of the alefbet it is also the number 1, but the the name alef אךף means 1000.

2Pe 3:8 ¶ But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day [is] with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.

Ps 90:4 For a thousand years in thy sight [are but] as yesterday when it is past, and [as] a watch in the night.

Yod-Vav-Yod א

The aleph א is formed with a diagonal vav ו and two yods י.

Square text template Each stroke of the letter within the square text template is a metaphor. The upper horizontal represents those things which can be known about God, and the lower horizontal represents the things which are earthly. The right vertical descending is a ו vav speaking to man in love. The left vertical is vav ו or zayin ז returning to God in holiness. An intersection that is at right angles represents an information transfer, but a rounded intersection is a transfer of personality.

Aleph א formation

The aleph א expresses the idea of one thing divided and put back together in order to understand it better.

The vav ו is the word of God which distinguishes between things ^[a] The vav ו travels from top left to bottom right, dividing heaven/spirit from earth/flesh and love from holiness.

א ↬ Creator

א ↬ 'God spoke and created the heavens and the earth ☇↬ Creator'

Before creation, there was only God; represented by teh 'yod' י. There was no place outside of God to create the universe ^[2] So he created a void within himself; also represented by the 'yod' י , and then spoke into it; represented by the 'vav' ו .

The spirit hovered.. ^[3]

The aleph represents a division ו between God י and his creation י. This division represents the first expression of his holiness; he is separate, he is different.

א ↬ Trinity

The two 'yods' י represent the Father and the Son. They are the same letter because they are one. ^[4] The 'vav' ו represents the Spirit who hovers over the face of the waters ^[5] The upper waters represent the Father and his plan for creation מי and the lower waters represent the Son and his finishing of creation ים. Notice that the mem in it's normal מ and final form ם also are one letter which represent the Father and Son.

א the unspeakable name of God

The aleph contains the name of God 'ee-oo-ee' יוי which sounds a lot like 'Yahweh'. The name in the aleph is unspeakable in the aleph because the aleph is a silent letter.

Someone heard that you couldn't say the name of God, and misunderstood it to be a commandment rather than an observation. God told Moses to say the approximation of his unspeakable name 'Yahweh' יהוה. ^[b] Too often what should produce a natural awe of God is used to form religious coercion.

With the aleph God silently declares "I am" though it would not have mattered if he had thundered it; no one was there to hear him. There is also an invisible aleph (meaning that he spoke and created the heavens and the earth) before Ge 1:1 indicating that there was no one there to see him do it either.

Why would God have an unspeakable name anyway? The act of naming something is a symbol of taking dominion or possession. ^[c] The name reflects your character since the word 'name' also means 'reputation'. God's unpronounceable name means that no one knows his reputation. ^[d] The unspeakable name belongs to the Father; his name before creation. The pronounceable one belongs to the Son.

The aleph א and it's strokes yod-vav-yod יוי are used interchangeably to refer to God as Jehovah or as 'I am'.
