The bet ב is a resh ר (revelation) that meets the lower horizontal bar of the square letter template at a right angle. The right angle means that something is missing from the revelation. In the dalet ד the right angle in the upper right corner meant that the word was spoken. The rosh ר means that there is a fullness coming from heaven. The difference is that between a commandment, and a conversation.
