Aleph - governor

The name 'aleph' אלוף means 'governor'. The ruler, as a type of Christ, clarifies or helps us understand the identity of Christ in the mystery of the cross.

אל-ו-ף Consider the first three kings of Israel as shadows of the death of Christ:

Saul ruled 40 years then killed himself [1]. With the sword being a symbol of the word of God [2], Saul's death is a picture of Christ laying down his own life according to the prophecies of the word.
David ruled 33 years in Jerusalem 'the teaching of peace', and 7 years in Hebron 'the assembly' (as a picture of the church) then died. As he is lying in his bed cold (a symbol of death). They obtain a virgin to keep him warm (she remains a virgin)[3]. Christ obtained his virgin bride through his death.
Solomon ruled 33 years in Jerusalem and 7 years in Hebron, then died. He represent Christ as the King of Kings. [4]
