Prophet

revelation to man

We use 'revelation' as a technical term indicating a type of revelation wherein the receiver may ask questions of the deliverer, to distinguish it from a command where there is no dialog. The bet ב is formed by a rosh ר representing a revelation, which then comes to earth (the lower horizontal).

The curved corner in the upper right indicates the included personality of the revelation. The lower right-angle intersection suggests that the revelation was not fully received or understood [1] .

among men

Christ descended from heaven [2] but was not received [3] .

house

The name of the letter bet בת is the revelation to man ב which was finished ת. Christ's finished work is to be the son over his own house [4].

Priest

God's initiative

The bet ב is preceded by the aleph which represented the sacrifice of Christ as the oxen. It is formed by drawing from the top down. Both indicate that God took the initiative in revealing himself to man. We cannot find him in our own strength or wisdom [5].

In man

In order to be our priest, he had to be tempted in every way that we are, without sinning [6]. He could not use his divine nature to resist [7] He had to be found 'among men' as the Emmanuel [8]

Judge

rejected by his own

Because men are condemned already [9], the rejection of Christ is a judgement upon the one rejecting him [10]

The bet symbolizes the rejection of Christ [11] [12]
