Primary metaphor
Samekh ס is the companion letter to the final mem ם. They both represent a kaf כ joined to a zayin ז at the top and the bottom. The covenant of marriage declared by the father (joined at the top) was fulfilled by the son (joined at the bottom). The samekh ס has rounded corners indicating the spiritual fulfillment, and the final mem ם has square corners indicating the fulfillment in the flesh.
Not used in Genesis 1
The first samekh ס does not appear until Genesis 2:11. It suggests that in the text of Genesis 1, there is no mention of the completed spiritual work of God. Indeed, the sixth day mentions God's desire to make Christ and his bride in his image and likeness, but only relates that they were made in his image not in his likeness. It also includes the command that they be fruitful and multiply, but it does not include its fulfillment.

By the letters cabab סבב represents "the completed spiritual work" samekh ס "the revelation to man" bet ב twice. The implication is that the completed work includes the revelation of God to man in two parts: earthly/heavenly or physical/spiritual. This is also represented by the waters above and below the firmament [1] and the testimonies in heaven and earth [2].
Also when the spiritual work is completed,something is surrounded. The cities belonging to the priests had walls. Paul reminds us that we are the completed spiritual work of God: Heb 12:1 ¶ Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset [us], and let us run with patience the race that is set before us,
Close cagar סגר
By the letters Close cagar סגר represents "the finished spiritual work" samekh ס "persuing" gimel ג "the revelation" rosh ר. The word is used when God closed the door of the ark behind Noah as he obeyed God's word. [3]
