H - Scope
It is said that there are four layers to scripture for interpretation. These correspond to the four voices of God (prophet, judge, priest and king) and the four purposes for which scripture is profitable (doctrine, reproof, correction and training in righteousness.
Though there are actually many more layers which are seen other ways, these four give us the ability to scope our interpretation for the purpose of correlation.

Re-scoping across voices
The prophet speaks of Jesus in the flesh as the doctrine of the cross. This layer is the key to the kingdom (teaching). The pictures of the cross are numerous, and with little practice they stand out easily to entice you into deeper study. Like stacking transparencies on top of each other, the pictures of the cross are used to align them to produce the fuller picture of Christ. The subject is Christ.
However, If we start with a view of Christ, what we see can be re-scoped to speak of us, because we will be made like him. [1]
Jesus is the Word of God. [2] But it may be re-scoped to speak of us. In what way are we the 'word' of God? We are now the voice of God in the world, having been commanded to go and teach. [3]
Jesus is the light of the world, or God's expression of holiness to teach us who he is. [4] But he is only the light of the world as long as he is in the world. Now we are the light of the world. [5] [6]
The judge speaks of reproof. Each reproof is a reproof of the historical character, of us, and of Christ as he bears our sin. See the reproof of Job as a reproof of Christ and be drawn into the deeper mystery.
Re-scoping from physical to spiritual
Adam was commanded to be fruitful. In the scope of the literal we presume it means he should have children. Now re-scope it. Move it from physical to spiritual. Shouldn't we be fruitful by the fruit of the spirit? [7] Do you think that God wanted Adam to have literal children of the earth and flesh? Or children who were in communion with him? [8]
Re-scoping by genealogy
All were in Adam and likewise all were in Christ. [9]
All of Israel was in Jacob (Israel). What happened to Jacob happened to Israel. Who finally received the promise made to Abraham, Isaac and Jacob?
All priests were in Abraham. [10] If Levi paid tithes in Abraham, and Abraham's tithe was a free will gift, and was paid in full, then what is the proper tithe for Levi? If we are a nation of kings and priests, what is our proper tithe?
Re-scoping is done legitimately because of the four voices.
