He 1:2 last

Paul uses a word with 'author and finisher' in it's formation then gives a bookend in He 12:2

The word also has in it's formation 'covenant for a separated life'. It may be argued that this is the theme of the book. The Hebrews were Jews who were being persecuted and thrown out of their institutional accoutrements. Paul is saying "Don't worry... they were only symbols. Christ is the real thing. You have been called to a separated life".
