Ps 19
From Sensus Plenior
The Father speaks, the son works.
- Ps 19:1 ¶ « To the chief Musician, A Psalm of David. » The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament sheweth his handywork.
- The heavens: Father, Son and Holy Ghost. The waters above and below.
- declare: The word able to be heard but not understood. It draws like the voice of the shepherd.
- glory: כבוד honor, riches, abundance, awesomeness
- God: El, the one who created and then shared his heart in teaching.
- firmament: Christ, the mediator of the water/word above and below.
- shews: From sinew מגיד. The opposing gate is fish (commanded to pursue) so the sinew has the sense of 'capture' by pursuing with a new word.
- works: Works are see/understood.
- hands: Hands ידי are the implementors (creators) of the word, making the reality from the command.
Ín holiness he declares, in grace he gives understanding.
- Ps 19:2 Day unto day uttereth speech, and night unto night sheweth knowledge.
There is no creative word (nothing in creation) nor spoken word (teaching) where the sound of his voice is not heard (where he does not draw you). See Ro 1:18 ff
- Ps 19:3 [There is] no speech nor language, [where] their voice is not heard.
