The Old Testament is Hebrew

The Old Testament of the Bible is a Hebrew book. It was inspired by God to the Hebrews, who spoke and thought in the Hebrew language, and reasoned using Hebrew logic.

Some 'scholars' would have us believe that that God did not speak to men, but that men evolved languages from early caveman grunts. Hebrew is a language unlike any other. The strokes of the letters have meaning which combine into the meaning of letters, which again combine into meaningful words. These words have not only have literal meaning but also consistent metaphoric meaning as they are used in scripture. This consistency produces a tapestry, a web, a puzzle much like a crossword puzzle, which the meaning is locked and validated by its consistent use everywhere by every human author of the Bible. They speak of something which the human authors could have no knowledge of, and which was intentionally kept from them; the cross of Christ.

Some 'scholars' would have us believe that the Hebrew alphabet letters where invented in Syria and the Hebrews adopted it when they were captive there. We are to believe that the Hebrews wrote their most sacred scriptures in the language of their enemies. This is laughable on its face. It is as patently ridiculous as the Mormon belief that Jewish American Indians wrote their sacred scriptures in Reformed Egyptian, the language of their enemies, the Egyptians from whose bondage they escaped. Has the Gentile church gone mad?

Some 'scholars' claim that the common Hebrew script (known as paleo-Hebrew) is the most ancient form. This is an subtle attempt to discredit the scriptures as being revealed from God.

The examination of the square-text alphabet in detail, will demonstrate that the Hebrew alphabet and the language were used by God to reveal himself to mankind. The letters will be examined in such a way to help identify them as they are used in this book and then a more detailed examination of the use of the letters as they form words.

The New Testament is Hebrew

The New Testament was written by Hebrew men who witnessed the life of Jesus and recorded some of the things that Jesus did that fulfilled the prophecy of the Old Testament. The things they recorded were recorded specifically to show that he fulfilled prophecy. Each action and teaching is prophesied in the Old Testament scriptures.

The Greek church cannot see all the prophecies because they are hidden in prophetic riddle discerned by reading and thinking like a Hebrew. Lacking these abilities, the Greeks can only read the scriptures literally. All attempts to do otherwise collapse under the contradictory weight of free-for-all allegory. Since Greek expositors use Greek rhetorical invention, they can make the scriptures mean what they wish, and there is no authority to contradict them.

The letters of the New Testament are a collection of how the church put the teaching of Christ into practice. The books of Romans and Hebrews are systematic presentations of Hebrew theology written in the form of letters to the Greek and the Hebrew churches.

The NT teaches Greeks to think like Hebrews

The New Testament authors attempted to teach the Greeks (gentiles) how to read the Old Testament like Hebrews.

The gospels were written in the order of Mark, Matthew, Luke and John. They were likely written approximately 10 or more years apart. Skeptics scoff at the differences between the accounts of the authors as though it proves the Bible to be fraudulent. But the scoffers learned from the Greek church. With time, the apostles became more proficient in discovering and discerning the prophetic riddles of Christ. Each shares what he had learned in order to pass the method of interpretation on to others.

By studying the difference between the gospels, and the source documents in the Old Testament, the skills used to interpret the scriptures can be discerned.

The Greeks chose 'Christianity lite'

Unfortunately, the Greeks did not wish to become Jewish, nor learn to read and think like Hebrews. When introducing the gospel to the Greeks, Paul chose to preach only the cross.

Paul properly defended the Greeks against having to assume the burden of the law in order to become Christian.

With the foundation of the cross, as preached by Paul, the Hebrew church only imposed a few behavioral things as reminders of the dual nature of the scriptures. In the Old Testament, the literal historical record is also always a prophetic riddle of Christ. These rules were not imposed from a moral imperative, since the dietary laws had been abolished by God, but as symbols of the churches relationship with Christ.

Since the Greeks were not required to keep the Hebrew law, with time, they lost the ability to understand it as the Hebrews did. Though many saw hints of the prophetic riddles, the only tool they had to interpret them was Greek style free-for-all allegory. This allegory caused such confusion that the church imposed a Catechism and a literalistic methodology for interpretation. The Old Testament had been reduced to a mere history of Israel, rather than a a rich prophecy of Christ. Many lost an interest in even studying it. Their focus on Christ and him crucified was sufficient to lead people to salvation. But it did not take long for the Greek philosophy to infiltrate the church. The King of heaven Zeus was replaced with the Queen of heaven and Mother of God, Mary. The pantheon of lessor gods was replaced with a hierarchy of heavenly beings and dead saints.

Though the heart of Christianity was 'teaching', the Greek church set up 'conquerers of the laity' to rule the people.

The Greek church rejected the Hebrews

By 400 AD the church had become fully Greek. When Jerome translated the Hebrew test into Latin, he was bucking the predominant view that the Greek Septuagint was the inspired and authoritative text. This anti-Jewish sentiment started early in the church: Ignatius , Barnabas , Justin Martyr , all wrote before 200 AD decrying the Jews. Augustine, the great theologian of the Catholic church, did not read Hebrew.

Greeks confused because they don't think like Hebrews

To be Christian, one does not need to become Jewish. However, the Old Testament is the foundation of the faith, containing the identity of the Messiah hidden in its symbols and riddles, as well as all the doctrine of the New Testament church. Today, Greek theologians wonder where Paul got his novel doctrine since, on the surface, it appears to be very different from the Old Testament teaching, and that of Jesus. However, When Paul taught in Berea, the people there checked his doctrine against the Old Testament, only accepting it when they saw that his teaching was contained in it. Paul did not have a new doctrine, but he was like the householder who could bring from his treasure new and old. He taught the mystery hidden in the Old Testament.

A return to Hebrew thought

Like the Bereans, we too can check the teaching of the New Testament against the hidden riddles of the Old. We too can see the mystery which was hidden from the beginning. To do so, we must learn to read and think like Hebrews. Modern scholars will attempt to teach you Hebrew culture, forgetting that most of the time, the Jews were disobedient to God and even called prostitutes and adulterers for seeking after other gods. This was their culture.

There is also a danger in learning from modern Jews. We must take care not to fall into their error. The methods of interpretation used by modern Jews must only be used if they can be demonstrated to be used by the Jesus or the authors of the New Testament. Modern, disbelieving Jews are NOT an authority on how to read the Bible, though they may have remnant memories on how to do it.

Learning from the Hebrews not from the Jews

The way to learn how to think like a Hebrew does not come from the culture which denies Christ, but from the Hebrew scripture itself. The Christ deniers only retain a memory of the teachings of God, which have been perverted to hide Christ from their own children. It may sound severe, but because of vowels added to Hebrew around 600 AD, the Hebrew reader can no longer see that the Lamb of God is the creator.

Modern Jews claim that Christians have twisted Jewish writings to insert Christ in them. But The first church was Jewish. They saw Christ in the scriptures. The argument is not between Jews and Christians, but between Jews who accepted Christ, and those who denied him.

An extraordinary claim requires extraordinary proof

Here are some of the extraordinary claims:

1. God gave Adam language including written language in the form of spoken Hebrew and written Hebrew.

2. He created the alphabet with a rich dimension of metaphor which is used to build meaning into words.

3. The scriptures use the words in consistent metaphor in such a way that it always speaks of Christ.

4. Jesus, as God incarnate, closed his eyes to his divine attribute of omniscience, and discovered who he was and what he was supposed to do through the Old Testament scriptures.

5. He taught his disciples to read the scriptures the same way he did.

6. The New Testament authors teach us the same thing.

7. The Greek church quickly went feral and 'forgot' how Jesus taught to read the scriptures.

8. The disbelieving Jews of Jesus's day lied about him and perverted his teaching.

9. Those descended from the disbelieving Jews cannot be relied upon to teach how to read the scriptures properly.

This work is a work in progress which can and should be validated by others. The content of this work will be the proofs.

An assurance

Though the Greek church quickly forgot much, what they retained was sufficient to lead men to Christ. The doctrines of Evangelical Christianity are generally true but understood in a childish way. Their inability to explain scripture results in apparent contradictions and much effort to explain them away. It is insufficient to answer important core issues, which are merely dismissed as not being important solely based on the fact that they do not have an answer.

Because Greeks do not have a way to discern truth in the cacophony or noise of theological debate, many will judge this work based on what they personally think to be true, or parrot as true, rather than examine the claims for what they are. Consequently, many will declare any who do mot mirror their beliefs to be heretics. I prefer to let the Bible speak even in learning HOW to read it.

Be assured that the scriptures primary purpose is to make the Father known through the teaching and works of the Son. The cross was the culmination of that revelation as Jesus declared "It is finished!". This work will help the reader to see that more clearly in the prophetic riddles or proper genre of the Old Testament.
