Thanksgiving

The law teaches us about thanksgiving in symbols and Paul gets his doctrine in Romans concerning how the law causes sin in him, from here.

Peace offering

Le 7:11 ¶ And this [is] the law of the sacrifice of peace offerings, which he shall offer unto the LORD.
Le 7:12 If he offer it for a thanksgiving, then he shall offer with the sacrifice of thanksgiving unleavened cakes mingled with oil, and unleavened wafers anointed with oil, and cakes mingled with oil, of fine flour, fried.
Le 7:13 Besides the cakes, he shall offer for his offering leavened bread with the sacrifice of thanksgiving of his peace offerings.
Le 7:14 And of it he shall offer one out of the whole oblation [for] an heave offering unto the LORD, [and] it shall be the priest’s that sprinkleth the blood of the peace offerings.
Le 7:15 And the flesh of the sacrifice of his peace offerings for thanksgiving shall be eaten the same day that it is offered; he shall not leave any of it until the morning.

Le 7:11

Le 7:11 ¶ And this [is] the law of the sacrifice of peace offerings, which he shall offer unto the LORD.

law towrah תורה - the mark תו of the water/word רה.
The law has a shadow of the kingdom of God. [1]It is the schoolmaster to lead us to Christ. [2]
sacrifice zabach זבח - also means 'kill' and 'deprive of protection'. Something must die, even in the peace offering made for thanksgiving. [3]
We do not merely have peace in the midst ot tribulation.We do not give thanks in spite of tribulation. We glory in tribulation. [4] This only happens when we have died to self. [5]>
peace shelem שלם- pay, recompense, restore, finish, deliver, perfect.
He is the finisher of our faith [6], making it perfect as we enter into his rest. [7]
offer - draw near, war.

Le 7:12

Le 7:12 If he offer it for a thanksgiving, then he shall offer with the sacrifice of thanksgiving unleavened cakes mingled with oil, and unleavened wafers anointed with oil, and cakes mingled with oil, of fine flour, fried.

thanksgiving towdah תודה - in the center of th eword is "hand" yad יד . This is th e name of the tenth letter of the alphabet yod י. The Yod represents the first thought God had to create. It includes everything he did create, and this is the beginning of the metaphor for the hand as works. The yod includes all the works of God. Thanksgiving includes an element of works, which is why a sacrifice/work is performed.
unleavened cakes - This is a bad translation. It should be "Perforated cakes of matzah (unleavened bread). Be careful not to impose the meaning of unleavened bread here. The word for leaven does not exist. Matzah is an unleavened bread, so we may only reference it by allegorical implication if applicable. The bread is pierced. [8]
cakes matstsah מצה - arid, from מ instruction צה. Leaven is 'teaching'. Unleavened bread is 'untaught'. Since the word is 'water' the idea of arid communicates the same sense. The matstsah bread is a teaching aid reminding us of the manna from heaven. Manna is the ultimate unleavened bread since God himself made it. Jesus is both the matstsah and the mannah. He is the untaught teacher. Israel removed leaven from their homes to make matstsah for the Passover. This was a symbol of getting rid of the old teaching and preparing for the new. We are no longer under the schoolmaster [teaching aids] [9]
mingled observer these Hebrew words:
fodder bᵉliyl בליל
worthless, wicked bᵉliya‘al בליעל
mingle, mix balal בלל
The laws against mixing contain the teaching aid that mixing is bad. When there are two things, one is heavenly and one earthly, or spiritual and flesh. Christ was God and man, a mixture... he had to die. But why? the two primary metaphors that cannot be mixed are light and dark. [10] God's grace (longsuffring of sinners/dark) and his justice (light) cannot be mixed...EXCEPT on the cross where they perfectly reveal the Father through the works of the Son. Any attempt to mix holiness and love outside of the cross, is worthless fodder.
oil - the fat, and it's twin oil, belong to the lord. [11] They represent divinity on earth and in heaven, or in flesh and spirt.
cakes mingled with oil - The flesh without the Word mixed, or co-mingled with the divine. This is the incarnate God... Jesus.
wafers - raqiyq רקיק thin cakes containing (figuratively) spit raqaq רקק . One spits when rejecting the word of another. The water/word is rejected.
anointed - consecrated
wafers anointed with oil - The kings were annointed with oil. The annointed king, God in the flesh, was rejected.
fine flour coleth סלת - from the root meaning strip. Fine flower has been stripped of the chaff. The wheat is Israel. Jesus was an Israelite without chaff/sin.
fried rabak רבך - The word ר revealed to man ב of the Son of God put to death ך.

Le 7:13

Le 7:13 Besides the cakes, he shall offer for his offering leavened bread with the sacrifice of thanksgiving of his peace offerings.

We also celebrate the leavened bread... The new teaching of the cross.

Le 22:29 And when ye will offer a sacrifice of thanksgiving unto the LORD, offer it at your own will.
2Sa 22:50 Therefore I will give thanks unto thee, O LORD, among the heathen, and I will sing praises unto thy name.

heathen gowy גוי - those who pursue ג to be distinct ו from God's works י.

Conclusion

Paul derived his doctrine of Rom 6 from the law examined above:

Ro 6:17 But God be thanked, that ye were the servants of sin, but ye have obeyed from the heart that form of doctrine which was delivered you.
Ro 7:7 ¶ What shall we say then? [Is] the law sin? God forbid. Nay, I had not known sin, but by the law: for I had not known lust, except the law had said, Thou shalt not covet.
Ro 7:8 But sin, taking occasion by the commandment, wrought in me all manner of concupiscence. For without the law sin [was] dead.
Ro 7:9 For I was alive without the law once: but when the commandment came, sin revived, and I died.
Ro 7:10 And the commandment, which [was ordained] to life, I found [to be] unto death.
Ro 7:11 For sin, taking occasion by the commandment, deceived me, and by it slew [me].
Ro 7:12 Wherefore the law [is] holy, and the commandment holy, and just, and good.
Ro 7:13 Was then that which is good made death unto me? God forbid. But sin, that it might appear sin, working death in me by that which is good; that sin by the commandment might become exceeding sinful.
Ro 7:14 ¶ For we know that the law is spiritual: but I am carnal, sold under sin.
Ro 7:15 For that which I do I allow not: for what I would, that do I not; but what I hate, that do I.
Ro 7:16 If then I do that which I would not, I consent unto the law that [it is] good.
Ro 7:17 Now then it is no more I that do it, but sin that dwelleth in me.
Ro 7:18 For I know that in me (that is, in my flesh,) dwelleth no good thing: for to will is present with me; but [how] to perform that which is good I find not.
Ro 7:19 For the good that I would I do not: but the evil which I would not, that I do.
Ro 7:20 Now if I do that I would not, it is no more I that do it, but sin that dwelleth in me.
Ro 7:21 I find then a law, that, when I would do good, evil is present with me.
Ro 7:22 For I delight in the law of God after the inward man:
Ro 7:23 But I see another law in my members, warring against the law of my mind, and bringing me into captivity to the law of sin which is in my members.
Ro 7:24 O wretched man that I am! who shall deliver me from the body of this death?
Ro 7:25 I thank God through Jesus Christ our Lord. So then with the mind I myself serve the law of God; but with the flesh the law of sin.
Ro 8:1 ¶ [There is] therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.
