Israel was a harlot bride of God. Mary had a 'taint' of reproach. Leah was the harlot bride (sneaked into the bed), Rachel had reproach being barren. Mary was told it was a Holy thing within her, and Rachel's reproach was taken away with Joseph.

Joseph as a type of the Lamb of God was born to a ewe (Rachel)

Ge 33:2 And he put the handmaids and their children foremost, and Leah and her children after, and Rachel and Joseph hindermost.

Ge 33:2 Leah (weary)and her children preceded Rachel and Joseph. The weary world awaited the savior through Mary.

Ge 37:3 Now Israel loved Joseph more than all his children, because he [was] the son of his old age: and he made him a coat of [many] colours.

Israel loved Joseph... : Matthew 3:17 This is my beloved Son,[a] with whom I am well pleased.”

With garments representing works: כתנת פסים = works of distinctions Joh 21:25

Ge 37:4 And when his brethren saw that their father loved him more than all his brethren, they hated him, and could not speak peaceably unto him. Jesus hated by his brothers ...even to death.

Ge 37:5 ¶ And Joseph dreamed a dream, and he told [it] his brethren: and they hated him yet the more. They hated Jesus when he claimed to be worthy of honor. John 8:58

Gen 37 12 His brothers/rabbis were supposed to feed the sheep in Shechem (shoulder) a symbol of work/law. Joseph/Jesus was sent to his brethren. But rather they were at "two wells" (Dothan) With water as a word Jesus found them mixing the word of God with the word of men, instead of instructing in the law.

Ge 37:18 And when they saw him afar off, even before he came near unto them, they conspired against him to slay him.

Jesus taught the rabbis how to read the scriptures when he was twelve. They saw the prophetic riddle of the Messiah. But used the next 18 years to pervert his teaching, and plan for his death. He called them liars because they knew who he was for almost two decades.

Gen 37:22 Cast into pit/grave. Pulled from the grave Psalms 16:10 when God heard his cry. Ishmeelites - "God will hear". From Gilead "stoney place" Stone אבן = ab + ben Father and Son. With myrhh.

Ge 37:28 In strife (Midianites) they sold him for silver.

Ge 37:29 And Reuben returned unto the pit; and, behold, Joseph [was] not in the pit; and he rent his clothes.

Ge 37:29 J/J was not in the pit/grave . But went to prison/sheol by being falsely accused.

Ge 39 J/J was successful in all he did until the bride falsely accused him. Joseph was wanted in the flesh, and Jesus was wanted as an earthly king. She turned because her desire was not fulfilled.

Ge 40 The baker must die because the bread is his body, given for us. The cup bearer must live because the wine is his blood, and life is in the blood.

He was made king of kings. All authority was given him subject only to the Father/Pharaoh. Called Zaphnathpaaneah " 'treasury of the glorious rest' Christ ushered us into his rest as Joseph brought his family to rest in Egypt.
