From Sensus Plenior
✞ | Mt 25:1 ¶ Then shall the kingdom of heaven [1] be likened unto ten [2] virgins [3], which took their lamps [4], and went forth to meet the bridegroom.
Mt 25:2 And five of them were wise [1], and five [were] foolish [2] [3]
Mt 25:3 They that [were] foolish took their lamps, and took no oil [1] with them:
Mt 25:4 But the wise took oil in their vessels [1]with their lamps.
✞ | Mt 25:5 While the bridegroom tarried [1], they all slumbered and slept.
✞ | Mt 25:6 And at midnight there was a cry [1] made, Behold, the bridegroom cometh; go ye out [2] to meet him.
Mt 25:7 Then all those virgins arose, and trimmed [1] their lamps.
Mt 25:8 And the foolish said unto the wise, Give us of your oil; for our lamps are gone out [1].
Mt 25:9 But the wise answered, saying, [Not so]; lest there be not enough [1] for us and you: but go ye rather to them that sell, and buy [2] for yourselves.
✞ | Mt 25:10 And while they went to buy, the bridegroom came [1] ; and they that were ready [2] went in [3] with him to the marriage [4] : and the door [5] was shut [6].
Mt 25:11 Afterward came also the other virgins, saying, Lord, Lord [1], open to us.
Mt 25:12 But he answered and said, Verily I say unto you, I know you not [1].
✞ | Mt 25:13 Watch [1] therefore, for ye know neither the day [2]nor the hour [3]wherein the Son of man cometh. |
