The Lamp

(Mt 5:14-16; Mr 4:21; Lk 8:16, Lk 11:31)
- Mt 5:14 Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid.
- Mt 5:15 Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house.
- Mt 5:16 Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.
- Mr 4:21 ¶ And he said unto them, Is a candle brought to be put under a bushel, or under a bed? and not to be set on a candlestick?
- Lu 8:16 No man, when he hath lighted a candle, covereth it with a vessel, or putteth [it] under a bed; but setteth [it] on a candlestick, that they which enter in may see the light.
- Lu 11:31 The queen of the south shall rise up in the judgment with the men of this generation, and condemn them: for she came from the utmost parts of the earth to hear the wisdom of Solomon; and, behold, a greater than Solomon [is] here.
