The fulfillment of the law

Who is they? Why am I to answer for them? But I will answer.

Both laws still exist. You can read them...no? So why such a silly question? Can they not answer? lol

But have they not read the Book of Romans? Even without the law given to Moses... even without the ten commandments, the gentiles do what the law demands, and know they are guilty before God when they don't. So who would say there is no law when men without the law establish the law themselves?

Do non-Christians know what adultery is without the law? Of course they do. Even these wicked men who say there is no law demonstrate that they are a law unto themselves as they condemn adultery.

Why would someone say there is no law except they are law breakers?

Now the real question is: What does it mean to have the law fulfilled?

Heb 10:1 Heb 10:1 ¶ For the law having a shadow of good things to come, [and] not the very image of the things, can never with those sacrifices which they offered year by year continually make the comers thereunto perfect.

Examine the law of the Leper. Does it exist? Of course it does. You can read it in Leviticus 13. What is the purpose of the law? Does the law make the leper clean? Of course not. It tells him he is a leper. If you have leprosy, don't you wish to know that you are sick?

Why would you do away with the law of leprosy? That would be foolish. Does any of the ceremony associated with leprosy make them well? Of course not. If it did we would not need antibiotics which cure leprosy today.

The law has a shadow of the kingdom of God. Leprosy represents sin. The law tells us we are all lepers. We are all sinners. Do we want to get rid of the law or do we wish to know the truth?

But even more than that, the law of Leprosy tells us about Christ. The law is a schoolmaster to lead us to Christ. Christ bore our sin in his flesh. He became a leper for us.

The leper shaves his head, a symbol of lost authority. On the cross the Father left him alone.

The leper covers his lips. This is an action taken when your prayer is not answered. It is a prophecy that Jesus would pray "remove this cup" and the answer would be "no."

The leper is sent outside the camp. This is where Jesus died.

When the leper is covered from head to to with leprosy, he is declared clean. When Jesus fully bore our sin, he arose Holy.

The clean leper then goes through the same ceremony as the priest with the blood on his ear, thumb and toe, etc. This is because in resurrection Christ became our high priest.

How would we know this if it were not for the law of leprosy. Only those who do not want to know Christ would get rid of such a law.

Are we required to go through the ceremony if we had leprosy today? No! The law does not make you clean. The ceremony teaches of Christ, and now we know him more clearly! But it is nice to know that the law tells you when you do have leprosy.

Do you want to go out and get leprosy now that the law has been fulfilled? Of course not. Neither do we wish to go out and sin just because the ceremonies around such sin are no longer required. They still tell us we are in sin. They are still diagnostic. And if you study the shadow, they still tell you about Christ.

Only wicked men wish to intentionally contract leprosy and sin.
