As a boy, Jesus taught in the temple, where those the teachers listening were astonished. <ref>[[Lu 2:46]] And it came to pass, that after three days they found him in the temple, sitting in the midst of the doctors, both hearing them, and asking them questions. [[Lu 2:47]] And all that heard him were astonished at his understanding and answers.</ref> Were they astonished that he understood, at such a young age, the things that they took years to understand? Or were they astonished at the new things he taught them?
