Genesis has [[four]] primary divisions by the [[four voices]] of God.
:[[ProphetPriest]]: [[Ge 1:1-2:5]] - This division is like a Table of Contents to the Book of Life. Each day is a picture of Christ which is revealed in one of seven portions of the Bible. As suchIt speaks of the work of God in a hidden language, and it speaks of the prophet tells what is to come. It ends with work of the eternal rest found Son of God in Christall time and eternity.:[[PriestProphet]]: [[Ge 2:6-5:32]] - The highlight of this portion is the sacrifice of the lamb to cover the sin of Adam. It ends with the genealogy showing fruitfulness. The voice of the prophet always speaks of the life and mission of Jesus Christ, the Lamb of God.
:[[Judge]]: [[Ge 6:1-11:28]] - One cannot mention Noah without thinking of the judgement of God. But judgement is not God's main focus and this section also ends with genealogies showing fruitfulness.
:[[King]]: [[Ge 11:29-50:26]] - The king is concerned with earthly affairs and indeed the focus of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob is the promise God made to Abraham for land. Even Joseph, who is not one of the fathers, but is a son, becomes the king of kings as he rules over all the nations.
