WLC - Answer 23 The fall brought mankind into an estate of sin and misery.

WLC - Question 24 What is sin?

WLC - Answer 24 Sin is any want of conformity unto, or transgression of, any law of God, given as a rule to the reasonable creature.

WLC - Answer 24 (Bob) Sin and transgression are violations of Love. Transgression requires no intent. The purpose of my sin, with the accompanying pain, suffering and death, is to make myself and others so miserable, that they realize they are not Gods as they cry to God for mercy.

WLC - Answer 24 Sin is any want of conformity unto, or transgression of, any law of God, given as a rule to the reasonable creature. WLC - Question 25 Wherein consists the sinfulness of that estate whereinto man fell?

WLC - Answer 25 The sinfulness of that estate whereinto man fell, consists in the guilt of Adam's first sin, the want of that righteousness wherein he was created, and the corruption of his nature, whereby he is utterly indisposed, disabled, and made opposite unto all that is spiritually good, and wholly inclined to all evil, and that continually; which is commonly called original sin, and from which do proceed all actual transgressions.

WLC - Answer 25 (Bob) The state of man is a flesh which instinctively; mindlessly serves itself as a god. This is 'universal sin nature' being in opposition to love of God and neighbor, is an enemy of God, declaring good and evil by it's own measure. It is the flesh that is the source of all temptation. It is improper to say that there is a 'fallen world'. It is a perfect world where the consequences of man's sin drive him back to God.

WLC - Question 26 How is original sin conveyed from our first parents unto their posterity?

WLC - Answer 26 Original sin is conveyed from our first parents unto their posterity by natural generation, so as all that proceed from them in that way are conceived and born in sin.

WLC - Answer 26 (Bob) 'Universal sin' is conveyed by natural generation, being born as an animal wanting of knowledge of God, unable to choose to love of it's own accord. Though born in ignorance of God, they are not culpable of sin, since where there is no law, there is no judgement of the law.

WLC - Answer 26 Original sin is conveyed from our first parents unto their posterity by natural generation, so as all that proceed from them in that way are conceived and born in sin. WLC - Question 27 What misery did the fall bring upon mankind?

WLC - Answer 27 The fall brought upon mankind the loss of communion with God, his displeasure and curse; so as we are by nature children of wrath, bond slaves to Satan, and justly liable to all punishments in this world, and that which is to come.

WLC - Answer 27 (Bob) The ejection from eternity into the illusion of time, in an isolation ward of those who think they are gods, brought with it remnants of the lesson taught in the garden:

clothing to remind them that they are more than animals
curse of the ground to remind them that it was God who provided for them, and if they persist in their delusion, must provide for themselves
pain in childbearing to remind them that before their sin, God effected painless reproduction from the side of Adam. If they are gods, let them do it.
a choice to not live under the curse, by trusting God for provision as did Abel.
a flesh that produces pain, suffering and death for itself and others, as it makes un-godly choices, proving they are not gods.
inability to escape the pain, suffering and death, demonstrating that they are not gods.

All the consequences of the ejection are the second lesson that God is Holy, and that he alone is God.

WLC - Answer 27 The fall brought upon mankind the loss of communion with God, his displeasure and curse; so as we are by nature children of wrath, bond slaves to Satan, and justly liable to all punishments in this world, and that which is to come. WLC - Question 28 What are the punishments of sin in this world?

WLC - Answer 28 The punishments of sin in this world are either inward, as blindness of mind, a reprobate sense, strong delusions, hardness of heart, horror of conscience, and vile affections; or outward, as the curse of God upon the creatures for our sakes, and all other evils that befall us in our bodies, names, estates, relations, and employments; together with death itself.

WLC - Answer 28 (Bob) The punishments of sin in this world are the results of God's system that you reap what you sow, and then he gives you what you want, allowing you to wallow in the consequences.

If you do not wish to learn from God, he makes you blind and incapable of seeing his work in the world.
If you desire the adrenaline rush of the forbidden fruit, you will require more extreme circumstances to obtain it and go deeper into depravity and vile affections.
If you choose not to believe truth, you will believe a lie.
If you choose not to repent, your heart will be hardened and your sin will be normalized to you. You will lose your conscience, having trained yourself to ignore it.
If you wish to place yourself at the center of your universe, as other do as well, there will be war in every relationship you have on earth and in heaven.

WLC - Question 29 What are the punishments of sin in the world to come?

WLC - Answer 29 The punishments of sin in the world to come, are everlasting separation from the comfortable presence of God, and most grievous torments in soul and body, without intermission, in hell fire forever.

WLC - Answer 29 (Bob) In the mystery; the sensus plenior, written for his bride, there is no mention of punishments in the future, suggesting that there is no condemnation in Christ Jesus.

WLC - Answer 29 The punishments of sin in the world to come, are everlasting separation from the comfortable presence of God, and most grievous torments in soul and body, without intermission, in hell fire forever. WLC - Question 30 Does God leave all mankind to perish in the estate of sin and misery?

WLC - Answer 30 God does not leave all men to perish in the estate of sin and misery, into which they fell by the breach of the first covenant, commonly called the covenant of works; but of his mere love and mercy delivers his elect out of it, and brings them into an estate of salvation by the second covenant, commonly called the covenant of grace.

WLC - Answer 30 (Bob) God does not leave all mankind in misery, but by ushuring some into the Kingdom of heaven, while still alive on earth, gives a peace that passes all understanding in the midst of the chaos caused by men thinking they are gods.

WLC - Answer 30God does not leave all men to perish in the estate of sin and misery, into which they fell by the breach of the first covenant, commonly called the covenant of works; but of his mere love and mercy delivers his elect out of it, and brings them into an estate of salvation by the second covenant, commonly called the covenant of grace.
