Israel was a harlot bride of God. Mary had a 'taint' of reproach. Leah was the harlot bride (sneaked into the bed), Rachel had reproach being barren. Mary was told it was a Holy thing within her, and Rachel's reproach was taken away with Joseph.

Joseph as a type of the Lamb of God was born to a ewe (Rachel)

Ge 33:2 And he put the handmaids and their children foremost, and Leah and her children after, and Rachel and Joseph hindermost.

Ge 33:2 Leah (weary)and her children preceded Rachel and Joseph. The weary world awaited the savior through Mary.

Ge 37:3 Now Israel loved Joseph more than all his children, because he [was] the son of his old age: and he made him a coat of [many] colours.

Israel loved Joseph... : Matthew 3:17 This is my beloved Son,[a] with whom I am well pleased.”
