Marriage doctrine

Marriage doctrine

The Hebrew word for marriage is 'laqach' לקח. [1] But it also means 'doctrine' or learning'. [2] [3]

Israel means 'man joined to God by revelation'. Israel was called the wife of God. And now the word for marriage means that the wife is taught by God. [4]
Without knowing any Hebrew, you can know that whenever you see the lamed ל in a word, it has something to do with teaching. 'Laqach' לקח means 'taught ל the cross ק for life ח. The bride are those who are taught by Christ; they are Israel.
  1. Ex 21:3 If he came in by himself, he shall go out by himself: if he were married, then his wife shall go out with him. [{by himself: Heb. with his body }]
  2. De 32:2 My doctrine shall drop as the rain, my speech shall distil as the dew, as the small rain upon the tender herb, and as the showers upon the grass:
  3. Pr 1:5 A wise [man] will hear, and will increase learning; and a man of understanding shall attain unto wise counsels:
  4. 1Ti 2:11 Let the woman learn in silence with all subjection.
