Eloah - a man or idol
Using notarikon, eloah אלוה means 'God אל discerned by, or made clear by ו ignorance ה. How can ignorance help us to discern God?
- The ignorance of men, bickering over this or that, drives people crazy to the point that they cry out "It is not supposed to be this way!" By doing so, they are declaring that there is a God whose way it is supposed to be.
The ignorance of men causes a cacophony of confusion. In contrast, we know that there is a God who is rational and causes peace. [1] [2]
It is foolish to call a man or idol 'God'; 'eloah'. Eloah says that such a declaration; that the man or idol is a God, is totally foolish and made plain by the ignorance of the claim. It is a god for the foolish.- ↑ Ge 41:8 And it came to pass in the morning that his spirit was troubled; and he sent and called for all the magicians of Egypt, and all the wise men thereof: and Pharaoh told them his dream; but [there was] none that could interpret them unto Pharaoh.
