(d. son, )
(g. בן-ןב - )

There are two words for 'son': בן ben, and בר bar. The ב bet represents the revelation which came into man personally. 'Ben' is the Son of man who died and is translated 'son'. Bar is the Son or God who came into man as the 'revelation in person' represented by the resh ר, or as the Word made flesh. 'Bar' also means build. The Son of God, revealed as Christ in resurrection, built the kingdom. The son of man, Jesus in the flesh, died desolate. Bar indicates that he built in the kingdom in resurrection. This record is primarily about his life before the cross. The final form of the nun ן has a tail that descends below the line to indicate his death as the son of man.
