fear, see, discern רא
yirah and roeh share the gate רא which means: the revelation ר of G-d א. It would appear hat we have used the aleph for "God spoke and created the heavens and the earth" as well as for "G-d". A metaphor can represent the actor, the action, or the object. Also the aleph has multiple meaning based on how it is dissected. Consider the yod-vav-yod which if pronounced would sound very close to the name.
Consider what happens when G-d is revealed. Men fell on their faces in fear, even as they understood. Seeing is a metaphor for understanding.
- 2Ti 2:15 Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.
