Hieroglyphic: Distinction between two creations. The ו is diagonal representing that both the heavenly things and the earthly things have components of holiness and grace. A vertical ו would have separated holiness and grace. See Hebrew hieroglyphics.

- Ge 1:1 ¶ In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.
- Two יs in the Hieroglyphic are the creation of the heaven and the earth. and is represented by the diagonal ו.
- Ge 1:3 ¶ And God said, Let there be light: and there was light.
- Ge 1:6 ¶ And God said, Let there be a firmament in the midst of the waters, and let it divide the waters from the waters.
- The waters are divided by the firmament. Though the waters themselves were not created, the firmament creates the divide and reconciles it. It is the ו between the two creations.
- Ge 1:9 ¶ And God said, Let the waters under the heaven be gathered together unto one place, and let the dry [land] appear: and it was so.
- As in Ge 1:6, two new things are created by the act of dividing.
